"Superheterodyne" means it's designed to receive standard AM (amplitude modulation) and FM (frequency modulation) broadcast frequencies. The new transistor module allows you to switch between the modern integrated circuit (IC) technology and the original transistor technology. The kit also includes radio mounting stand.

Requires one 9V battery and solder assembly.
